And the reason for lack of updates? Fishing! More and more smallies are joining the ranks of POST SPAWN. Soon we will have the best fishing of the year as all of the brown fish will be in the same areas–doing the same thing–feeding.
Although not the numbers we will get in a few weeks, we have been getting a substantial number over 4 lbs. with one weighing in at 6.20 lbs. 20 to 40 smallies has been the norm and very soon that will double.
From now until September we will go to the big lake whenever the weather allows. If it doesn’t allow we have a couple of inland lakes that are producing and we can fish in areas protected from high winds. On the big lake–no place to hide.
